Valentines Day

Valentines Day is just around the corner and the girls in the Barracudas office are all in the Valentines Day spirit (which includes sharing) so we thought we would share our Valentines Day suggestions with you, which you and your children can do together:

For Mum:

Bunch of Flowers

What you’ll need:
Red ribbon
A piece of Red card
Lots of bright coloured card
Green pipe cleaners
Mum and dads permission

The children will love the idea of playing florists and making their very own bunch of flowers. All you need to do is cut out 6 flower shaped heads from different pieces of coloured card and attach the flower head to a green pipe cleaner (the stem). Once you have finished making your bunch of flowers finish it off with a piece of red ribbon to hold the bouquet together. It would also be nice to cut out a heart shape from a piece of red card to use as a gift tag which you can thread onto the ribbon.

For Dad:

A Valentines Day card

What you’ll need:
A piece of white card
A piece of red card (Which you’ll have left over after making Mums flowers)
Lots of glitter and sequins
A photo of your Mum and Dad
A little bit of Valentines Day spirit

Get a piece of A4 white card and fold it in half, cut out a red heart from your piece of red card and stick it on the front with a picture of your mum and dad in the middle of it. Now is your chance to be as creative as you like and go crazy with your glitter and sequins.
