If you want to offer a gentle hint to your kids about Mother's Day, you can take them along to a session in Chelmsford where they can try new activities and make you your own book!
The event, which draws inspiration from a book by Anthony Browne (the current Children's Laureate), called My Mum, will allow children to learn about bookmaking and create a special present for you.
Even better, the session is free and little ones can drop in to try new activities! Kids can head down to the town's Just Imagine Story Centre on April 2nd at 11:00 BST.
If your kids are lovers of literature, they can also visit the centre on April 9th at 11:00 BST to take part in a monster craft session with Lee Carr, the author of Monster Baby. Children aged four and above can come along to make their own monster hands and monster headbands.
After the fun they may want to read Lee's book, which is about a boy called Jake who has to help his baby sister go to sleep. The only problem is that she wants to stay awake and starts growing fur!
