Try new activities at the theatre

If you're searching for value for money activities to keep older kids entertained there's always the theatre.
Over this month and next month the Little Shop of Horrors will be performed at the Boxmore Playhouse by the Hemel Hempstead Theatre Company.
Kids can watch the youth group come together to perform this science-fiction classic, which may even inspire them to perform themselves!
The rock-musical focuses on Seymour Krelborn, a worker at Mr Mushnik's Florists, who finds an unusual exotic plant. He calls it Audrey II (after Audrey, the girl he loves) and soon discovers that the plant has a humungous appetite and is plotting world domination. Scary!
Families can watch the performance on a Thursday March 31st and on a number of dates throughout April. With tickets priced at £7 to £10 it's certainly a value for money experience.
If your kid's got a birthday coming up you may even want to hire the Boxmooor Playhouse, which is available for a number of functions and has a spacious main hall, where they can try out fun party activities.
