If you're still unsure about what to do for the royal wedding tomorrow (Friday April 29th) you can now take the family along to the scenic setting of Leeds Castle to celebrate the day with summer activities for kids.
The Kent landmark is broadcasting the historic occasion on large screens during the day.
Kids might also want to try physical activities for children in the vast castle grounds, which are perfect for a game of hide and seek!
During poor weather conditions you can also head indoors and explore the castle's interior and learn more about its last private owner, Olive, lady Baillie, a heiress from the US.
If your kids are older, you may want to continue celebrating through the night and can do so at the same venue, which is also holding an evening of musical entertainment and an open-air film screening of Mamma Mia!
Adults can attend the event for £20 each, while child tickets cost just £15. To finish the evening off there's also an impressive fireworks display!

Parent Review Chelmsford Easter Camp
I’d heard good things about Barracudas but of course was awry of leaving my little boy with a group of strangers. I needn’t have worried; he came out claiming he couldn’t remember EVERYTHING that he’d done that day because he had done so much....go-karting, swimming, bouncy castle and much more.
I’m booking a couple of weeks in the summer for sure. The way I see it is if he attends camp for the day and I continue to work he gets to have a blast all day for less than what it would cost for the two of us to be entertained for the day going to the zoo/adventure park, etc. It’s local, it’s great fun for him and it lasts all day. Sometimes going out for the ‘day’ doesn’t last all day and it’s never enough – they always want something from the shop, an ice cream and of course the fuel getting there isn’t cheap.
Barracudas is cheaper than doing all of the things us parents find stressful and the kids have such an awesome time!

This Friday (April 29th) if you're in the Ely area you can head to the city's cathedral for a free event to celebrate the nuptials of Wills and Kate for free.
The cathedral will show the big event on TV screens and also provide seating and tables, making it the perfect venue to have a yummy picnic with the family.

Newbury offers physical activities for kids
If you're looking for summer activities for kids that are a bit more unusual you'll find what you're after in Newbury!
The Berkshire town is holding Crafty Craft, a quirky boat race, on May 2nd.
This event, which has been going since 1974, sees people race home-made vessels from Hungerford to Newbury along the Kennet & Avon Canal.
Younger racers can also get involved in the shorter route from Kintbury Lock to Newbury, as long as they're prepared to get wet!
Kids can also try art activities for children and make their own fancy dress costumes for the day.
To celebrate the event Victoria park will have attractions and amusements on offer between 10:30 BST and 16:30 BST.
Even better, money collected from the event is donated to local charities. Last year West Berkshire Alzheimer's Society's Singing for the Brain project and Time Spanners both shared £6,500 between them.
If your family wants to take part you can get your hands on a sponsorship pack from www.craftycraft.com. Good luck!

Review of Easter camp in Brighton
My daughter, Tia, has just completed her first holiday camp with Barracudas and what tremendous fun she's had!
Despite having loads of experience of holiday clubs since the age of four, she has voted Barracudas no.1 and can't wait to attend summer camp. Her beaming face at the end of each day proved what a great time she'd had, from fencing and archery to giant obstacle courses and arts and crafts, from quad bikes to fancy dress. These are just some of the activities on offer throughout the week plus the chance to meet new people meant she made new friends as well as enjoying herself.
The staff were absolutely wonderful, extremely professional and friendly and special thanks goes to Laura and Jill for all their hard work, enthusiasm and constant smiley faces!
I would recommend Barracudas to all my friends, particularly those with sporty children who have far too much energy!!!!

Physical activities for children are 'better than watching TV'
We all know that exercise is good for you, and parents need to do as much as possible to ensure their young ones are active if the latest research is anything to go by.
Researchers at the University of Sydney found that kids as young as six who spend hours in front of the TV or a computer are showing early signs of high blood pressure.
In a nod towards booking physical activities for children, the boffins said that children who spent more time watching TV than playing outside had narrower arteries.
Meanwhile, those that lark around with their friends, kicking a football about or exerting energy for an hour or more each day were found to have "significantly" wider arteries.
While it is not a particularly pleasant thought, the message is clear, kids should be encouraged to get up off the sofa and take part in outdoor activities as action now could have a hugely positive effect on the rest of their lives.

Peterborough offers physical activities for children
If you want your kids to take part in physical activities for children, this weekend could be the perfect time.
With the weather set to be unusually warm, why not take part in a Historic Peterborough Tour at Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery?
It only costs £3 for concessions and £5 for adults and will allow the whole family the chance to find out more about the city's past.
You'll learn about how a Saxon Abbey was built in the area, more about the cathedral precincts and the importance of the city's river, as well as information on famous personalities who have shaped the area.
The next tour is being held on Saturday April 23rd between 14:00 BST and 15:30 BST, although don't panic if you miss this date! There are also tours on Saturdays throughout the summer, autumn and winter months.
You can also convince your kids to try physical activities for children in Ely, where the family can join a guided walking tour that explore the city's past.

Try art activities for kids in Hertfordshire
Between activity day camps in the week you'll undoubtedly be looking for ways to keep the kids having fun at weekends.
Luckily, parents in Hertfordshire won't need to travel far this weekend!
The Tring Spring Fun Day is kicking off in style this weekend (from April 23rd) and you can head to the town and its Natural History Museum for two days packed full of free events to celebrate.
There's an easter trail, hands-on specimen workshops and crafts on offer between 10:00 BST and 16:00 BST. Kids can even take part in a spring writing competition, which could see their story published.
You'll also be able to get light refreshments on site to keep kids fuelled for the whole day.
If your children are interested in animals, you can treat them to after-school activities at the Natural History Museum in Tring on May 5th. Between 15:45 BST and 16:30 BST, they can get the buzz on bees at a drop in workshop that only costs £1.50.
At the session - which is suited to those aged five and over – they'll also have the chance to try art activities for children and make things that they can then take home.

Weather is set fair for Easter camps for kids
The Easter weekend is approaching and it is a relief to know that the weather is set to remain good.
With temperatures peaking at 22C on Thursday, the warm conditions are ideal for Easter camps for kids, allowing them to get outside and burn off energy.
The temperatures are well-ahead of where they usually are for this time of year, with the South normally around the 14C mark during the middle of April.
"As we go into the weekend and beyond I think generally the weather is going to be fine and dry with the possibility of a few showers, particularly in coastal areas. I think we are talking similar to the weather we have now, perhaps a little warmer," said Met Office expert Rebecca Sherwin.
With many now coming into their last week of holiday, taking advantage of the good weather and sending them on Easter camps for kids could be the ideal way to send them back to school with a smile of their face.

Easter camps for kids could keep the cost of school holidays down
While the school holidays come as a relief to children, it won't be long before they are complaining that they are bored.
This is why parents should consider Easter camps for kids, which will provide them with something new and exciting to do every day.
Fresh research from LV showed that the Easter break and back-to-back bank holidays will set parents and guardians back a cool £3.5 billion.
Throughout the year, it costs £18.8 billion to entertain kids while they are off school, equating to nearly £1,500 per child.
"With an average 13 weeks of school holidays a year, parents will feel pressured to find the cash to keep their kids entertained, and keep boredom at bay," said LV’s Mark Jones.
Finding fresh daily activities to do can also be a time-consuming job for parents, which highlights the importance of Easter camps for kids, which will do all the hard work for you.

Head to the Holland House Festival for holiday activities
If you're looking for easter holiday activities to keep the kids entertained, you can always try the Holland House Festival, which is coming to London soon.
The event, which will be held in Trafalgar Square, is all about bringing the best of Dutch culture to the capital in celebration of Queen's Day in Holland.

The family friendly event, which is taking place on April 16th, also features bands, such as Storybox, De Coronas and Baskerville, performing for Holland's National Day.
There's even a kids' corner where your children are sure to want to try easter holiday activities.

Art activities for children come to Brighton
While your children are waiting for summer camps for kids to open, you can keep them entertained in Brighton.
The Brighton Festival 2011 is running from May 7th to 29th and will include a Children's Parade.
This year's carnival has been given a theme, The Rights of the Child, which will be celebrated by 5,000 youngsters on May 7th. They've created a colourful array of giant puppets, costumes and effigies that will be paraded through the city from Sydney Street to Madeira Drive to the sound of samba. And it's free!
In addition, the festival as a whole is a celebration of liberty and freedom this year and will express these themes through circus, theatre, dance, music, film, talks and art. It's sure to give you an action-packed few weeks before your children go back to summer day camps!
Kids who are interested in the arts may also want to see a play called Draw Me a Bird on either Saturday May 14th or Sunday May 15th at the Sallis Benney Theatre in Brighton.

Try easter holiday activities on 'A Grand Day Out'
If you and your kids are fans of Wallace & Gromit you'll be pleased to hear that you can now try easter holiday activities at a Grand Day Out in London – and you can bring the dog too.
The event is being held for a good cause – to help sick children in UK hospices and hospitals – and involves three dog walking events in Battersea Park.
You can choose the 1.5 kilometre (km), three km or five km walk, depending on how fit you're feeling!
Your furry friend is also sure to feel pampered when they receive a Wallace & Gromit award for taking part. There will also be a PRO PLAN stand where your dog can get a free health check.
There are also plenty of easter holiday activities for you and your family to take part in, such as face painting, bouncy castles, a tombola and have-a-go agility.
You can join in the fun on Sunday April 10th between 11:00 BST and 15:00 BST.
A Grand Day out has already been held at Hadleigh Country Park in Essex this month, where much fun was had!

Take part in scary easter holiday activities!
When your kids have finished attending activity day camps, you can treat them to a night of frights on a child-friendly ghost walk.
Head down to the Historic Dockyard in Chatham in Kent on Friday April 15th to take part in a Junior Ghost Walk. The whole family can attend and learn more about the scary headless drummer boy! At the end of the tour you'll also get to make a piece of rope.
Children should be at least eight to attend the Easter holiday activities on offer and only have to pay £7, while adult entry costs £5.
This event begins at 19:00 BST, shortly before darkness falls, and lasts for just over one hour, giving you a bit of time to explore the dockyards before.
The area has been used in lots of films and TV shows, such as Sherlock Holmes, The Golden Compass and Oliver Twist, and it's easy to see why (by daylight at least!).
In addition, there are many restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat if all of the walking has made you hungry!

If you live in Cambridgeshire and fancy making the most of this weekend's hot weather, how about visiting a historic garden to try easter holiday activities?
You can go to Burghley House's gardens and bask in the warmth while you explore the historic parkland, which also has a section with interesting modern sculptures.
If the weather takes a turn for the worse, the house itself is also worth a look. It's been used for both The Da Vinci Code and Pride and Prejudice so you'll really feel like you're on a film set! Your budding culture vultures can also look at the 17th century Italian paintings, eighteen state rooms and Japanese Ceramics.
For families who are after some historical easter holiday activities, there's also the Brewhouse Interpretation Centre, where you can find out much more about the house and the people who lived in it.
After this you can always take a trip to nearby Pigeons Farm in Peterborough where kids can have fun with the animals.

Summer activities could get underway with 'sizzling' weekend
It could be time to dust off the shorts, sunglasses and outdoor play equipment with temperatures expected to reach 22C today in some areas of Britain, making it hotter than places like Barcelona.
The good weather in the south-east of the country is expected to continue into the weekend, where kids will no doubt be itching to get their summer activities underway.
It makes a pleasant change from the usual April fare, which generally sees the thermometer hovering around 12C, while rain often puts a dampener on the fun.
"Today will possibly be the warmest day this year, with warm, dry weather and sunny spells across much of England. It warms up again for the weekend, with temperatures in the upper 60s (Fahrenheit) or higher on both Saturday and Sunday," said the Met Office's good news bringer Andrew Sibley.
While mum and dad might think of inviting friends round for a barbecue, this weekend could be an ideal opportunity to get the kids out in the garden and enjoying the early summer spell.
