After a dry and mostly warm April, May has yet to live up to our expectations in terms of sunshine and warmth.
However, fear not, as a heatwave is set to hit Britain during the remaining two weeks of this month, which could help spark a demand for kids camps throughout the summer.
So far in May, there has been a lack of rain but temperatures have hardly been sending the thermometers sky-high, with kids up and down the country still having to wrap up warm to play outside.
This is always a shame when the evenings are light until bedtime, so news of the upcoming sunshine bonanza will be welcomed by all.
Forecasters have said that temperatures could soar, with 29C being the average for the next two weeks.
This sudden rise also highlights the need for youngsters to be protected against the sun, and it is important to ensure that they slap on some sun cream and are taking on enough water to stay hydrated.
