Parents wishing to get their children more involved in sporting activities should try out a number of money-saving tips.
James Daley, Which? Money Quarterly expert, told MadeforMums.com that there are a whole host of fun holiday activities that kids can try on a shoe-string budget.
He advised checking out local council-run sports centres for cheap swimming classes, while some local authorities still offer free opportunities to take a plunge in the pool.
The expert said that hiring a tennis court for around £10 could be a smash hit, while Tennis For Free runs in order to give youngsters the chance to get hold of free equipment in some locations.
"Cycling not only saves you money (no parking, no petrol) but also gets you and your kids fit. Try cycling to the park for family picnic," Mr Daley went on to say.
This weekend could provide the perfect opportunity to encourage the kids to get outside, with temperatures expected to hit around 25C.
