Try summer activities for kids in the open air

With the days slowly hotting up, now is the ideal time to try summer activities for kids outdoors.

There are the usual pursuits of games and walking, but how about trying something a bit more theatrical?

This month and next, the whole family can head to Regents Park Open Air Theatre to watch a production of Lord of the Flies, a classic tale by William Golding that children have loved for decades.

Your children may know that the story focuses on a group of schoolkids who are stranded on an island after a plane crash, with dark results.

You can catch performances between May 19th and June 18th, so can wait until a sunny day comes along!

If you're after summer activities for kids that feature music you can head along to the London park between July and September to watch a production of Gershwin's Crazy For You, which features the songs Nice Work If You Can Get It and I Got Rhythm.

It's a family night out that's sure to leave you humming along!
