Experience summer activities for children with pirates!

Summer activities for children can now be a more swashbuckling affair and include pirates!

The Museum of London Docklands is holding Pirates: The Captain Kidd story until October 30th, giving you plenty of time to get down there.

Here you'll find out loads about Captain Kidd, whose piracy and murderous activities saw him executed in Wapping.

You can also find out about how our capital has been linked with piracy from the 17th century and how pirates were punished for their activities in London.

Summer activities for children here will feature loads of curiosities on exhibit, including the last letter that Kidd ever wrote.

Youngsters can also check out a real pirate flag, an early 18th century cannon (boom!) and an outfit by Vivienne Westwood taken from her 1981 Pirates collection.

If pirates are still on your mind after the exhibition how about going to see Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides at the cinema?
