If your kids love spending time at summer camps then they must enjoy trying fun new activities – and near Upminster next month there's a lively evening of Gaelic song and dance planned that'll have the whole family on their feet!
Head to the Barn Dance at North Street Halls in Hornchurch, Essex, on Saturday July 16th July, and you might just discover a few hidden talents among your clan. It's suitable for all ages and abilities, so everyone can join in and have a ball.
Just like the activities at your kids' favourite summer camps, there are full instructions – courtesy of the Foot Up Ceilidh Band's caller – to explain all of the moves before the music begins. And he'll keep yelling them out as the hoe down gets underway.
Families are advised to wear comfortable clothing and guests are invited to bring along their own drinks and nibbles, to help make it an intimate social affair that no one will forget in a hurry.
The dance will kick off at 19:00 BST with an estimate finish of around 22:30. Tickets cost just £7.00 each.
